Easily accessible from Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Warrington and Wigan, The Recording Studios (owned and run by Allan Murrell) has grown rapidly and has expanded its services over this time. We have had over 400 bands, solo artists and corporate clients through our doors who come to us for a quality recording service and for industry standard CD & DVD On-Body printing and duplication.

Whether you are looking to record a demo to help you get gigs or recognition in the industry, a single, an album or just a CD of you singing some of your favourite songs to give to friends and family, the quality of your recording is just as important to us as it is to you.

We are strong believers that every recording that leaves the studio is an advert for us. As the musicians network in most towns and cities is usually tight knit, its not long before a bands or artists recording is heard and critically judged by many other bands or artists. Therefore, it is in our interest to strive to achieve the highest quality possible out of your recording.

We now provide full colour on-body CD & DVD Printing and Duplication using the latest thermal printing technologies. With these added value services, you can come to Red Cat Studios and leave with a product that would not look (nor sound) out of place on the shelves of any record shop in the high street. The Studio began in Cat I'th' Window Farm in Standish, Wigan. The 17th Century farmhouse is steeped in local history as it used to belong to Miles Standish whom the area is named after who escaped with the Pilgrim Fathers on the Mayflower. Due to the ongoing success of the studio, we were able to move to purpose built premises in Coppull just 3 miles from where the studio started in 2002. Just 2 minutes walk from Coppull Centre or 5 minutes in the car is Chorley Centre which has lots of shops, fast food outlets, bars, music shops, banks and supermarkets. If you would rather stay in the studio and not venture amongst the locals, the studio has a comfortable chill out area table and chairs, fridge, combination microwave, widescreen TV, VCR, DVD Player and Playstation, .

The Live Room is 420 square foot in size which is ample room for any band and all their equipment.

The 100 square foot Vocal Booth is fully sound proofed and acoustically treated to ensure the highest quality recording for vocals and acoustic instruments.

The 195 square foot Control Room initially serves its purpose for monitoring, mixing and mastering but also a comfortable room to chill out in between sessions on the Italian Leather sofas and just sit back and listen to the fruits of your hard work in the studio.

The Drum Room has been equipped with a £3000 6 piece Mapex Saturn Pro kit with Sabian Studio cymbals and top quality microphones from AKG, Shure, Sennheiser, Audix and Yamaha.

Once you have completed your recording, its all mixed and mastered, you can design your own CD Artwork and have your recording copied onto a full colour CD that has been printed using the most up to date Thermal Printing technology. Thermal printing is a superior quality than screen printing as thermal printing has higher LPI resolution (Lines per Inch) thermal printing prints to 170 LPI where screen printing is only 150.
